Practical Fruit Tree Pruning 2 – Plums & Peaches

March 17, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

$60

Learn how to prune fruit trees for abundant crops on healthy, long-living trees in this series of three practical workshops. Feel free to attend any or all workshops.

Late early fall is a good time to prune plums and peaches. This second workshop will start with an introduction to pruning as it applies to all fruit trees, and plums and peaches in specific. This will be followed by a demonstration and then it’s your turn to start pruning with Gisella’s guidance. You’ll then be able to go home and confidently get started on your own trees.

Your tutor is Gisella Warmenhoven, a trained landscaper and professional tree pruner for over 30 years.  “Gisella’s one day workshop is one of the best ways to be introduced to fruit tree pruning. She is an excellent presenter and a patient teacher. You’ll enjoy the day and leave it with the confidence to get started pruning your own fruit trees.”

What to bring: Please bring sharpened secateurs, loppers, a saw and stepladder if you have them. Gloves, writing materials, snacks and drinking water.

Cost: $60 per person per workshop.  The maximum number is 12 to assure quality tutor attention.  Expect a confirmation email on 16 March. In case of wet weather, we’ll contact you on 16 March and reschedule for 18 March or another date as weather allows.
