Note: For 2021, our focus will be on producing and providing the Gardening Essentials course. We look forward to offering more Permaculture Design courses in the future.
The landscape has a huge effect on how water moves over it and how water moves through it.
We’ll explore how to read the landscape, how water moves through the landscape, critical interactions between forests & water, how to repair & recharge watersheds & waterways, rainwater harvesting, and strategies for utilising wastewater. At some point in the day, we’ll be in the sandbox to design a water catchment, walking the property reading the landscape and trekking down to the creek to reenforce what we’ve learned.
Water associated with buildings – grey water, black water, is part of the Building Ecology module. Using water for energy: water rams, solar pumps to move water, windmills, will be covered during the Renewable Energy Module.
