Permaculture, Chooks and Organic Market Gardens

In celebration of Sustainable Backyards month, you are invited for an afternoon to:

• Learn about having chooks in your backyard
• Tour the 1 acre organic gardens of Abundant Backyard
• Do some fun permaculture exercises taken from our year-long PDC program
• No registration necessary, just come on up to this kid friendly event

  
  From 1-2, Laura Scully will lead the discussion about caring and managing your own chooks, everything they need for a happy and healthy life, how to manage them to provide you with eggs, fertiliser and weeding assistance.

2-3:30, Silvio Maffra of Abundant Backyard, will take you on a tour and share his tips for successfully 

growing and harvesting  organic veggies, both outside and inside a poly house.

3:30-4, And to send everyone home energized, Catherine Dunton-McLeod of Plenty Permaculture, will lead one of the many fun learning games from the Permaculture game book.
